Miss Chan's Easter Holiday

Miss Chan’s Easter at Cheung Chau

Dear boys and girls, did you have a good time with your family and friends at Easter?

I did! I travelled to Cheung Chau, a small island in Hong Kong. Cheung Chau is perhaps most famous for gigantic fish balls and mango mochi. It’s also popular because of its family-friendly hiking trail.

In order to get to Cheung Chau, my friend Nicole and I took MTR to the Central station and walked to the Central Pier no.5. The walk was around 15 minutes.

Then we took a ferry from the pier to Cheung Chau. It took almost an hour!

Once we arrived the pier, we couldn’t wait to try out all the local snacks! First we bought some gigantic fish balls. They were so crispy and juicy. We then queued up for the mango mochi. The mango was fresh and the mochi skin was soft like snow. Yummy! We also walked around and discovered some local cafes and souvenir stores which sell handicrafts.

Since we ate too much, we decided to hike for a while. We sweated and sweated. And soon, we were UNDER ATTACK! “Help!” I screamed. “The mosquitoes are biting me!”

Sadly we couldn’t survive the “attack” and gave up on hiking further. But after all, the trip was much fun! I hope to travel to other places outside Hong Kong soon.

What about you? Have you been to Cheung Chau before? If you have never been to Cheung Chau, you should visit there one day!
